Meet Kass + Penny
With a post-graduate certificate in Sports Psychology and a history of coaching marathon athletes for over five years, I am deeply passionate about the healing power of movement and the outdoors. As an 8-time marathon finisher, I understand the transformative impact physical activity can have on our mental well-being. If desired, I offer walk-and-talk sessions in Wompatuck Park or the Whitney Thayer trail system in Cohasset as an alternative to traditional office-based sessions.
At the core of my approach is a strengths-based perspective. I am dedicated to helping you identify and leverage your unique strengths as you embark on a path of personal growth and empowerment.
I am genuinely excited to meet and support you on your path toward healing and self-discovery. Contact me today to schedule a session and begin your transformative path.
“I am deeply passionate about the healing
power of movement and the outdoors.”
In my clinical practice, laughter and tears are both welcomed and valued. Healing involves recognizing the power of both strength and vulnerability within our interpersonal connections. During our sessions, you can expect a space where smiles, laughter, and even the company of my black lab, Penelope, play a role in creating a warm and comforting environment.
As a licensed psychotherapist specializing in anxiety, depression, and identity development, I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating emotional distress stemming from life transitions. Whether you're facing college transitions, grief, coming out as LGBTQ+, or going through a divorce, I aim to help you grieve the loss of your original life vision while gently guiding you toward developing a strong and empowered sense of self.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bucknell University with a minor in Education and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. With over 14 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, along with a Narrative therapeutic approach, into my sessions. Additionally, I am in the process of becoming certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful therapy technique for trauma healing.
