Trailhead Counseling Center, PLLC, is a vibrant, community-oriented mental health practice in Cohasset, MA focused on providing compassionate, client-centered care through a strengths-based approach. Outpatient Therapist (hybrid)

We are currently seeking a full-time outpatient therapist who is passionate about mental health and eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families. Our clinicians have the opportunity to grow and specialize in areas that inspire them while maintaining autonomy over their caseloads.

As a full-time outpatient therapist, you will be responsible for seeing 25 clients per week in a supportive and dynamic environment. Your role will include providing individual therapy, using a strengths-based approach to empower clients, and integrating feedback to continuously improve therapeutic outcomes. You will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, share knowledge, and contribute to an atmosphere of learning and growth.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

  • Licensed (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LPC, or equivalent) in Massachusetts (prelicensed applicants are encouraged to apply)

  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an outpatient setting preferred.

  • Ability to handle a caseload of 25 clients per week, including maintaining documentation, treatment plans, and session notes.

  • Flexibility in your schedule, with opportunities for both in-office and remote client sessions.

  • MUST live in MA or have a professional license to practice in MA

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong connection to the team.

  • Interest in utilizing outdoor therapy (e.g., walk-and-talk sessions) and incorporating nature into your practice.

  • Willingness to receive and integrate feedback to foster personal and professional growth.

Clinical Supervisor (hybrid)

As a clinical supervisor you will be responsible for seeing a minimum of 20 clients per week in a supportive and dynamic environment and up to 5 supervisees weekly. The Clinical Supervisor will provide direct clinical care to clients while also offering supervision to a small team of clinicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health care, a passion for developing clinicians, and the ability to balance both clinical and supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy sessions to a diverse caseload of clients, focusing on strengths-based, client-centered care.

  • Maintain a caseload of a minimum of 20 clients per week and up to 5 supervisees, managing scheduling, documentation, and treatment planning.

  • Incorporate your own interests and passions (e.g., nature, movement) into the therapy process, with opportunities for outdoor therapy sessions, walk-and-talk sessions, and more.

  • Participate in the growth of the practice by attending and contributing to team meetings, training opportunities, and the ongoing development of the practice's offerings.

  • Offer guidance on treatment planning, case management, and clinical decision-making.

  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, including individual and group formats, ensuring clinicians meet professional development goals and practice standards.

  • Support supervisees in building their clinical skills, ensuring ethical, legal, and best practice standards are upheld.
