Kate Bean, MA
Clinical Therapist
Kate specializes in working with adolescents and adults navigating depression, anxiety, and pre/post college identity exploration. Kate is also passionate about supporting individuals facing the stress and challenges of parenthood, providing support for family planning and fertility issues, perinatal care, and the many other struggles one faces when raising a family.
Kate believes that you are the expert in your own life and approaches therapy with a person-centered, strengths-based approach, helping you identify your own strengths and empower you to find what feels right for you.
Through a trauma-informed lens, Kate integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy (NT), and Solution-Focused Therapy techniques that promote self-reflection, trust, and vulnerability. Kate seeks to create a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship by meeting you where you’re at and helping navigate your life path together.
Prior to joining the Trailhead Counseling team, Kate worked as a clinical outpatient therapist at Northeast Health Services in Pembroke, MA. While there, Kate worked with a wide diversity of clients and client needs, focusing on crisis management and stabilization, risk assessment, and working collaboratively with other providers to provide quality mental health and daily living support.
With a concentration in trauma, Kate received a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bay Path University. Kate spends much of her time with her family, supporting the lives of her two very active children. She is often found trying to practice her own advice, focusing on increasing holistic practices such as exercise into her day and is happy to offer walk-and-talk sessions to interested clients.
