Andrea Taylor, MA
Clinical Therapist
Andrea aims to support individuals who are navigating anxiety, depression and complex life transitions. As a former collegiate athlete, she has an interest in supporting student athletes who are trying to balance their various identity roles and responsibilities.
Drawing from Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) models, Andrea brings a warm, welcoming smile and laughter to sessions as she helps clients develop concrete goals to work on in their weekly sessions. Andrea works closely with clients to explore, learn and practice coping strategies that are connected to each clients’ individualized treatment goals.
Andrea approaches counseling through a holistic lens in that she views the body and mind as one. She strongly believes that movement is medicine and practices this in both her professional and personal life. Andrea believes consistent effort over long periods of time yields the best results for individuals looking to become the best version of themselves in therapy.
No matter your pace, Andrea will support your movement journey through sunny walk-and-talk sessions in Wompatuck State Park.
Before returning to school for her counseling degree, Andrea gained 2 years of experience as a behavioral specialist supporting adolescents struggling with depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and Prader-Wilis Syndrome.
Energized by these experiences, Andrea pursued her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. While completing her degree she gained experience at an outpatient counseling center where she supported adolescents and adults with depression and anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bi-polar and borderline personality disorder.
Outside of the therapy office, Andrea enjoys running, strength training and competing in a variety of road races. She finds daily joy in cooking and reading a good book in her free time.
